Beetronics monitors do not require drivers for image display. This section applies only to touch functionality.
Beetronics touchscreens feature projected capacitive (PCAP) technology and support 10-point multi-touch. Touch functionality is enabled via USB:
- When using the included USB-C to USB-A cable: Video is transmitted via HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA, and touch functionality is enabled via USB-A.
- When using the included USB-C to USB-C cable: If your computer supports DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C, a single cable can provide video, audio, and touch (HID).
Please note: Both the source device and the cable must fully support DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB data transfer. Not all USB-C cables meet these requirements. Beetronics includes both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables by default to ensure compatibility.
Most operating systems natively recognize PCAP touchscreens via plug and play. In these cases, no driver installation or calibration is required, provided the display operates at its native resolution. For specific setups or older operating systems, driver installation or manual calibration may be necessary.
